LEGO History

LEGO was not always called LEGO. LEGO was once called The Automatic Building Brick. I will tell you how the name LEGO came to be and much more. Well, it all started with a Danish carpenter named Ole Kirk Christiansen. His business was not doing well, so he decided to start making other things like step ladders, ironing boards, and wooden toys. But, the wooden toys sold the best. He made different animals, vehicles, and even small bricks! Ole decided that his future was with toys

So, he kept going until he had finally constructed a company. Now he called the product The Automatic Building Brick. They eventually switched from wood to plastic because of efficiency and other reasons. Then Ole’s son, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen, changed the name to LEGO.

The name LEGO comes from the two Danish words “leg” and “godt” which meant “play well”. Later The company discovered that in Latin it meant  “I put together”.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this True story. I hope you learned something !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
