D.C. Superhero origins

Hello, its Johnny  again. Now I will talk about some D.C. superhero origins. You might have heard of some of them, but not all of them(hopefully).

Flash-Jay Garrick failed at college football and decidedflash  to be a assistant for a college professor. He was fairly good at it, until he accidently inhaled a experiment that had given him access to the SPEED FORCE. Now being super fast, he decided to use his powers for the good of mankind and called himself Flash. (The new Flash also is a hothead and eats a lot.)

Batman- Young Bruce Wayne watched his parents get batman shot by a Mugger. Promising to avenge them, he grew up and traveled to many places around the world to learn different fighting styles, strategies, and other things. Bruce felt that he prepared himself enough to accomplish his goal. He still needed a name that struck fear in the hearts of his victims. Inspired by a bat in his house,he called himself Batman (he is rich).

Martian Manhunter-J’onn J’onzz was just a normal manhunter martian until a crazy martian priest named Malefic, unleashed a deadly plague that caused almost every citizen of Mars to explode. His family suffered the plague but he did not. To get revenge, he trapped Malefic in highest mountain on Mars and wandered the planet for many years. He was accidently teleported to Earth by Dr. Saul Erdal. He decided to use his martian powers for good. (He was one of the first to see Superman as a baby.)

Well, that’s about all for now. GOOD BYE!!!!!

Is Brookfield Zoo “Dinosaurs” really worth it?

Brookfield Zoo recently obtained a new exhibit presented by Dominic's, it’s called “walking with dinosaurs”. It is where you get to see (robot) dinosaurs. Sounds cool, But  is it really worth it?

Lets see the ups and downs. You do get to see dinosaurs, but they are a little non-realistic and, why is it called “walking with dinosaurs” if they do not walk? They are pretty big, but not that loud.

Now lets look at prices. First, you have to pay for parking (8$). Then admission (adults-12$ kids-8$ super admission ticket-24$). Then you have to pay for the dinosaur exhibit itself! (5$ per person unless you have a super admission ticket which gives you access to everything). That’s A lot!!!!!!!!

So, is it really worth it? for some people maybe, but probably not me. (Although I did go there and it is kind of cool).

            GOOD BYE!!!!!!!!!!!

Superman

Superman is a superhero  who is very well known. He has super strength, durability, super speed, super hearing, super blow, heat vision,  and flight. He is from the planet Krypton. He has fought and destroyed many villains including Doomsday, Bizzaro, and Lex supermanLuther. There are Superman movies, comics, toys, shows, cartoons, and collectables.

When Kal-El ( Superman's Kryptonian name is Kal-El) was on Krypton, his father ( Jer-El ) was a great scientist. his father saw that soon their planet would be destroyed. He tried to warn people but they did not believe him. So, he started to build a ship to get off of Krypton. But when the day came, Jer-El only had the mini model built. He told his wife to take baby Kal-El (Superman) and herself in the ship,  there was enough room, but his wife refused. She said  “without my weight our son will definitely make it to Earth”. So, Kal-El was blasted in to space and Krypton was never seen again.

After his journey in space, he crash landed in a place in Kansas called Smallville. That is when the Kentsfound his ship and him. They took him to a orphanage where he started showing off his powers (You see, he only has powers on Earth because that is where the “yellow Sun” is). He created Quite a mess at the orphanage. The Kents finally decided to adopt him. The orphanage was very happy about that. They named him Clark Kent. Clark grew up in Smallville. When he was a teen, he decided to use his powers for the good of mankind. He got the name Superboy. Using the name and appearance of  Clark Kent as his secret Identity. He grew up and changed his Superhero name to Superman.

Clark Kent/Superman stayed in Smallville (although he fought a lot of crime in Metropolis)  and Clark became a reporter so he was able to Know where and when crime hit. It was the perfect cover for Superman. That is where He met Lois Lane. Although at first they did not get along, they were meant to be together. They became boyfriend and girl friend when he told her that he was Superman. They later got married and were happy.

Well, I hope you liked this article!

     SEE YA LATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LEGO History

LEGO was not always called LEGO. LEGO was once called The Automatic Building Brick. I will tell you how the name LEGO came to be and much more. Well, it all started with a Danish carpenter named Ole Kirk Christiansen. His business was not doing well, so he decided to start making other things like step ladders, ironing boards, and wooden toys. But, the wooden toys sold the best. He made different animals, vehicles, and even small bricks! Ole decided that his future was with toys

So, he kept going until he had finally constructed a company. Now he called the product The Automatic Building Brick. They eventually switched from wood to plastic because of efficiency and other reasons. Then Ole’s son, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen, changed the name to LEGO.

The name LEGO comes from the two Danish words “leg” and “godt” which meant “play well”. Later The company discovered that in Latin it meant  “I put together”.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this True story. I hope you learned something !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LEGO

LEGO’s are (in case you don’t know)building blocks that can be put together to make a certain vehicle, ship, house, and etc. They are pretty fun(of course, I have many of them). A few of the ones I have are the Star Wars Republic Gunship, Star Wars Droid Transport, Indiana Jones Jungle Cutter, and many more! You can find them at Target, WalMart, Toys ‘R’ Us , and other stores.

JEDI

Hi, I will now tell you about the Jedi. They are people (or aliens)that are able to “use” the Force. Their sacred weapon is the light saber. They are pretty much the good guys of Star Wars. They are able to perform the force powers: Force Push, Absorb, Force Dash, Force Jump, and more! Unfortunately, they were wiped out by the Empire (they are one of many bad guys in Star Wars).

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!!!!
